Pesty Support

Open Pesty with your keyboard shortcut (default ⇧⌘V). Use the arrow keys to pick a clip and press Return, or press ⌘1–⌘9 to grab one of the first nine clips.

• Mac App Store version: selecting a clip copies it and returns focus to the app you were using — then press ⌘V to paste. This version is fully sandboxed and needs no special permissions.
• Open-source / direct-download version: it can paste directly into the active app for you. Turn on Paste directly into the active app in Settings and grant Accessibility when prompted.

• Make sure Pesty is running — look for its icon in the menu bar. Open it with ⇧⌘V.
• Ignore passwords is on by default, so clips marked concealed by password managers are intentionally skipped.
• Check the History limit in Settings if older clips are dropping off.

Open Settings (menu bar icon → Settings, or ⌘,) and click the shortcut field next to Show Pesty, then press the key combination you want.

Yes. Everything stays on your Mac inside the app's private container. Pesty has no servers, no analytics, and makes no network calls. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Sync is optional and off by default. When enabled in Settings, your history and pinboards sync between your own Macs through your iCloud Drive. Make sure you are signed in to iCloud and that iCloud Drive is enabled in System Settings. The developer never has access to this data.

Open Settings → Data → Clear Clipboard History. This permanently removes stored clips from your Mac.

• Mac App Store: delete Pesty from Launchpad or the Applications folder.
• Homebrew: run brew uninstall --cask pesty.
• DMG install: drag Pesty from Applications to the Trash.
